The Madu River mangrove system near Balapitiya, the Pottuvil Lagoon adjacent to Arugam Bay, and the Negombo canal system each offer completely different water-based wildlife experiences – from crocodile sightings and exceptional waterbird observation to the slow, peaceful navigation of mangrove canopy closing overhead.
